Jumping into the world of production, Pilotkid is on the way up. Hailing from Reedley, California, described as “A town with one small McDonalds and one high school. Not too much to see or too much to do which is the opposite of the LA life I have now.” You would think with a lack of musical influence around him, how would he get into producing? - but all it took was one video. After watching J. Cole produce beats on a tour bus while working off a MacBook using logic with a midi keyboard, it drove him to be inspired to buy the same gear and guide himself to the songs he valued. Pilotkid's influences come from creators like Kanye West, Tyler The Creator, Childish Gambino, and Tame Impala - which in turn makes his one-of-a-kind sound one that blends with the color purple.
Pilotkid has worked with some pretty big names in such an early stage of his career including acts such as Danny Towers, Joey Badass, Snot, and others that he can’t mention, but assure me that it is definitely worth the wait. As for his latest work, they include two tracks on “Corduroy” by Jaywop and “How U Feel” by $NOT ft. Joey Badass. With a strong start to 2022, Pilot has his goals positioned high as his eyes are set on taking some big leaps and tips that “The best is yet to come.” Go ahead and check him out on all streaming platforms, and don't forget to give him a follow on social media to keep up on what he has coming up.
