Coming all the way from Australia, Kiid Spyro started his music career in 2017 after creating remixes to different songs online. He later gained more recognition through the online gaming community with his energetic freestyles on Youtube. Spyro’s musical inspirations, such as Lil Baby and Lil Durk, have shaped his songwriting style and production throughout the years. He enjoys exploring new techniques in his music and doesn’t limit himself to one type of sound. Though he’s rather new to the game, his talents don’t fall short of the rest. Gaining tons of popularity among his Australian audiences, he often sells out shows played in major Australian cities. His popularity doesn’t stop nationally, Spyro also has a large following of listeners and fans in Chicago. He shares that he wants to move to America to continue creating fresh music and collaborate with the American hip-hop scene.
Spyro released a single in 2020 that currently has over 1,000,000 Spotify plays called ‘Fast’. The beat and lyrics are rather catchy, which comes to no surprise as to why it has an overall stream count of over 5,000,000 on all streaming platforms. His most recent single, ‘Magazines’, came out on March 25th and continues to reel you in with his captivating lyrics and melodic beats. He describes this song as the end of the introduction to a more mature version of the artist he once was that went viral back in 2019. I can’t help but have this song on repeat and listen to it throughout my day-to-day rotation of music.
